Born in Minnesota, Rachel has travelled extensively.  She lived for three years in Haiti as a missionary kid, and finished high school in the mountains of North Carolina.

She graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 with Dean's list honors and two semesters abroad at Oxford University.

She has worked in telecom, before the dotcom bust, real estate before the housing bubble meltdown, and now she works in government!  Hmm...
